Australia LEI's website has a new design. The company behind it, the team, the services and the web address all stay exactly the same. What has changed is the layout, the navigation and how quickly you can get to what you came for. Here is a short tour of the new site and where everything now lives.
The same Australia LEI, a new design
An LEI code is an obligation rather than something a business wants to spend time on. Everything we build is aimed at making it take as little of that time as possible: a few clicks, and back to the actual work. The new design is a step in that direction rather than a one-off tidy-up.
What has not changed is who we are. Australia LEI remains an official LEI registration agent for Australian companies, part of an international group founded in 2017 that today operates in 26 countries and manages more than 180,000 LEI codes worldwide. Our systems are still connected directly to the GLEIF database and the Australian Business Register. Our phone number (+61 871 303 545) and email address ([email protected]) have not changed, and every LEI code registered, renewed or transferred through Australia LEI continues to work exactly as before. Existing customers do not need to do anything.
What is new
Each of these changes removes a step between a question and its answer.
Search comes first. The search field now sits at the top of the homepage. Enter a company name or an LEI code to check company details, LEI validity and entries in the GLEIF database.
One homepage instead of many separate pages. The main topics (What is LEI, Prices, About us and Statistics) are now sections of the homepage, each one click away from the top menu.
Clearer pricing. Application and renewal prices sit in one block, with separate Application, Renewal and Transfer tabs. The 1-, 3- and 5-year options are shown side by side, while transfers are clearly marked as free.
Live numbers. The Statistics page shows how many LEI codes have been issued in Australia, how many are active, how many are fully corroborated and which codes were registered most recently. A short summary of the key figures sits on the homepage.
Redesigned company pages. Each company page now presents names, registration data, addresses, LEI status, the next renewal date and the LOU that manages the code in one view, with the option to renew or transfer that code directly from the page.
Built for phones and tablets. The whole site adapts to smaller screens, including the application forms.
Where to find what
What is an LEI code? Start with the What is LEI section on the homepage, then read the longer explainer on the Global Legal Entity Identifier system.
Why is an LEI code needed? When do you need a Legal Entity Identifier? covers when an Australian entity needs one, from ASIC derivative transaction reporting to APRA exposure reporting and access to EU markets.
How to order an LEI code. The step-by-step guide is here, and the form itself is at Apply for an LEI code. Filling it in takes a few minutes. We then send you a power of attorney to sign, and the details are checked against the official registers before the code is issued.
Prices. All prices are in the pricing block on the homepage. Customers only pay for applying for or renewing a code. Data updates, transfers and other code-related actions are free.
Renew your LEI code. Renewals start at Renew LEI code, and Renewing your LEI number explains why annual renewal matters.
Transfer your LEI code to Australia LEI. Transferring an existing code to us is free, takes 3 to 5 days on average and does not change the code itself. Start at Transfer LEI code or read Transferring an LEI code to Australia LEI.
Check a company or an LEI code. Use the search bar on the homepage. It is connected to the GLEIF database and the Australian Business Register.
Statistics. Current figures on the Australian LEI market, including the codes issued most recently, are on the Statistics page.
About us. Who we are, how we work and what we stand for: About Australia LEI.
Frequently asked questions. The Questions and answers section at the bottom of the homepage covers cost, validity periods, issuing times, payment, trusts and what to do when register data changes.
News and press releases. All articles are collected on the news page, which also lists our media contact and downloadable logos.
Partner Program. Accountants, law firms and other advisers can register and renew LEI codes for their clients at preferential prices, or earn a commission for every referred client. Details are in Become a partner.
Terms and privacy. Our Terms and Conditions and Privacy policy are linked in the footer of every page.
Recognising our official website
With a new design in place, it is worth repeating what stays constant. Our web address remains australialei.com, and it is worth checking the address bar before entering any company data. Every page carries our official registration agent mark and the same contact details: +61 871 303 545 and [email protected]. The homepage and the About page also show the EQS Group badge. Australia LEI is a contractual Registration Agent of a GLEIF accredited LOU EQS Group.
Any LEI code, including your own, can be verified independently through the search bar on our homepage, which draws its data from the GLEIF database. If something on a page looks unfamiliar or you are unsure about a message you have received, call or email us and we will confirm it.
Tell us what you think
Journalists and collaboration partners will find our media contact and logo files on the News and press releases page.
The new design is built around how our customers actually use the site, so feedback really does shape it. If something is harder to find than it used to be, or you have an idea for a section we are missing, write to us at [email protected].
